MDO Remembers….
Timothy “Timo” Owens
Edward Bramsford Cook
Edward Bramsford Cook was a long-time dedicated volunteer for MDO. Ed was tireless in his efforts to raise money for MDO and always available to lend a helping hand no matter what the need was. He helped with transportation of participants and volunteers as well as helping with food service and maintenance needs over the years. Ed will be missed by all and remembered often as our friend and family.
Neal and Norma Scannapeco
Neal and Norma Scannapeco volunteered at MDO for over 20 years. They become MDO’s oldest volunteers when Norma was 80 and Neal 84. The MDO Volunteer of the Year award is named after these two dedicated volunteers. Neal handmade wood plaques for some of the awards and was always there to do whatever woodworking or carpentry work needed. Norma worked in several different areas including Headquarters, Food, and Hospitality over the years.
Kenny Lindley, Jr.
Kenny Lindley, Jr. attended MDO as a young child for several years and returned after graduating from High School to volunteer. He was a great role model for Deaf children. Kenny was always cheerful and ready to lend a helping hand to all. Our MDO family truly misses Kenny and the light he brought to MDO every year.
Anita Louise Hutcherson
Anita Louise Hutcherson worked at MDO Headquarters from 2004 to 2012. She was one of MDO’s most dedicated volunteers.
